Michael is a technology executive with a wealth of experience in building and managing reliable services for the payments industry, both globally for Visa International and domestically with Visa Canada and Bank of Montreal. He is strategic and tactical leader skilled in first defining the systems vision and then successfully executing the desired business plan. Noteworthy strengths include time to market focus and risk management. Michael is also recognized as a motivating leader, team builder and problem solver.

 

 

 

Fred brings over 25 years retail payment industry experience beginning with the construction of Interac Association back in 1990. As the very first employee, Fred’s initial responsibility was for the build and launch of Interac Direct Payment (IDP) as well as establishment of the Interac office. From there, he led all functions from network operation, product rules and specifications, marketing and PR, governance, policy, compliance and fraud management. Prior to his work at Interac, Fred was VP, Systems and Operations, for TDSi where he designed and built the POS processing system initially used exclusively by both Scotiabank and Bank of Montreal for their credit card acquiring businesses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Rick is the principal of Brendain Consulting, established in 2007 and specializing in Project Leadership, Business Development, and Government Access. Rick has extensive private and public sector management experience, having held executive positions with Cadbury Schweppes, George Weston Limited, and prior to establishing Brendain, as a Vice President with Nestle Canada where he managed the Dairy (Carnation) division, Foreign Trade, Mergers & Acquisitions, and New Business Development for Purina. During his tenure with Government, Rick was a Market Development Specialist with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs with portfolio responsibility for Europe and the Middle East. Rick is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program, a Director of Farmers Dairy Co-operative in Nova Scotia, Chair of the Advisory Committee for Embassy Flavours Limited, past Director of the Ontario Dairy Council, past Director of the Harvard Business School Club of Toronto, and past Secretariat for Salt & Life Television Network.
