Intermediate Programmer Analyst (Posted 08/07/08)
Caledon Computer Systems is seeking an Intermediate level Programmer Analyst with a degree in Computer Science or College Diploma in information technology. The candidate will be responsible for the following tasks;
- Investigate system solution alternatives and develop and implement software to meet business requirements;
- Prepare necessary documentation based on Caledon standards;
- Perform trouble shooting, maintenance activities on various Caledon applications;
- Perform appropriate testing activities based on Caledon standards;
- Prepare relevant documentation according to Caledon standards.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years hands on experience in each of the following:
- PERL, C
- Development Environment: Oracle, LINUX or UNIX
Nice to have:
- Payment Processing, Financial Services
- JAVA, C++
- MYSQL, PostGreSQL
- WEB Technologies (HTML, J2EE)
HIGHLY DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical people;
- Quick learner, self-starter, achievement oriented, requires minimal supervision;
- Strong problem solving skills;
- Strong documentation skills, and
- Off hours support will be required.
