In order to ensure security standards are met, improvements are made on a regular basis as technology evolves.
Reliability
Our network and systems are designed to provide our customers with uninterrupted service:
- redundant/fault tolerant servers
- three diverse Internet connections managed by FatPipe systems to achieve highest level of availability and performance
- 2-stage battery backup
- automatic diesel generator backup
- separate physical backup facility
- 24 / 7 emergency support
Security Compliance / Certification
In order to combat the increase in theft of cardholder information, the credit card associations have established security compliance programs.
In July 2004, Caledon Card Services completed Ambiron's Multi Card Compliance Program (MCCP) and became the first Internet Payment Service Provider/Processor in Canada to achieve certification with:
- VISA Canada's Account Information Security (AIS) program
- American Express Data Security Operating Policy (DSOP)
In December 2004, the major credit card associations adopted a common security standard. Caledon is currently working on upgrading our security compliance. We have targeted early 2006 to achieve certification for the following Payment Card Industry (PCI) based security programs:
- Visa Canada Account Information (AIS) program
- Visa USA Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP)
- MasterCard Site Data Protection (SDP) program
- American Express Data Security Operating Policy (DSOP)
- Discover Information Security and Compliance (DISC) program
